Instance Configuration
Your DataPostie instance has a wide range of settings that govern what your data consumers see and how they interact with your data portal as a whole.
Instance settings
Go to /admin/settings
or navigate to the settings page using the sidebar:
For SEO-related settings (e.g. title, description, theming), please allow an hour for settings to take effect.
General
This section controls general instance settings:
- Entity Name: Your organisation's entity name, used for SEO, in transactional emails (e.g. password resets), etc.
- Main Support Contact: The support contact listed to your users under the "Support" button in the navbar.
- Default payment method for user credits: The payment method (created in the Admin Payment Methods page) which users can use to purchase credits, e.g. for API calls.
- Default assets storage location: The defaut location where uploaded files (e.g. public images, T&Cs docs) are stored.
- Initial User Credits Promo: The amount of credits granted to freshly signed-up users, to encourage sign-ups
Security
- Token Expiry Time : The duration, in seconds, for which password reset and email validation tokens remain valid.
- Allow Public User Signup: Whether any data consumer user can sign up to an account with a valid email, or whether users have to be added by admins.
Signup
Whether users are allowed to publicly register to access private datasets, or whether they can only be created internally by admin users.
If users are allowed to register to use your data portal, you can also choose to attract users by offering free credit upon signup.
Theming
DataPostie allows you to fully whitelabel your instance to match your branding and theme.
You can edit the themes for the instance at the bottom of the page, including logos, favicon (should be a publicly accessible URLs), fonts (should be a publicly accessible font file URL), and colors:
