Previewing and Filtering

Previewing and Filtering a Dataset

Select a table (or folder for unstructured datasets) from the dropdown to begin.

Select a table to begin jour data journey.

You can then see a preview of the table (currently limited to 10 rows/entries/files).

Filtering data

You can restrict your data to certain fields by using the "Choose columns" selector.

You can restrict your data to certain rows - particularly if a dataset is priced per row - by using the filter functionality on individual fields:

Apply a filter, for example from a dropdown.

Click "Apply" to apply a filter after you've entered it.

Selected filters are displayed in the filter bar on top of the preview:

When filters are applied, they show up in the filter bar.

Filters are also applied to the preview. As the preview is only 10 rows, your filters will often naturally hide all the rows in the preview.

Your filters will still be applied to your query normally, and the number of resulting rows when these filters are applied to the full data will be shown in the next step.

Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the page to proceed to the next step.
